Welcome to Te Whāriki online. This site offers information, resources, and support for early childhood teachers, educators, and kaiako working with Te Whāriki, the early learning curriculum in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Te Whāriki includes two documents in one flipbook: Te Whāriki: He whāriki mātauranga mō ngā mokopuna o Aotearoa Early childhood curriculum and Te Whāriki a te Kōhanga Reo. This flipbook format showcases a bicultural framework for early childhood services and an indigenous framework immersed in te reo Māori for Te Kōhanga Reo.
Te Whāriki a te Kōhanga Reo and Te Whāriki: Early Childhood Curriculum are not translations of each other. Both have equal status and mana in their own right.
Ko tēnei marautanga ka whai pānga ki te katoa o ngā kōhanga reo kei raro i te maru o te Poari Matua o Te Kōhanga Reo.
Read Te Whāriki, the national curriculum document for ECE, and find supporting resources.
